Mikaila Guerra

My first exposure to the Navigators was my freshman year at the University of Georgia. Over my four years there, the rich community and intentional life-on-life discipleship that I experienced profoundly nurtured my understanding of and love for the Lord. Furthermore, the culture instilled in me the vision for investing deeply in the lives of others, to encourage them in their spiritual walk with Christ. I connected with and started volunteering with NextGen in January 2023. God has exceeded expectations in what a blessing and joy of being part of the community and leadership has been to me. God is good and is doing great things in the hearts of students!
Some other things about me: I enjoy creating art that reflects and elevates the beauty of God's creation. I also enjoy being outside in the wonder of what He has made, both hiking or just meandering through nature. Last year, I started indoor rock-climbing at a local gym, and it has been a demonstration of God's goodness to me on multiple levels. When I was first onboarding as a volunteer, DeAnn warned me about Don and Dick's "punny" sense of humor, but honestly, it's probably been part of what has made me a good fit on the team, for better of worse! (possibly worse, depending on who you ask, haha)
